The Central Bank of Uzbekistan and Behavia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on joint research cooperation. The partnership aims to develop joint projects applying behavioral economics approaches and experimental methods to support evidence-based policymaking in the financial sector in Uzbekistan.


The cooperation is already in its active phase. A joint study on loan repayment discipline is currently progressing through its second stage, which includes a diagnostic survey, identification of key behavioral barriers, and an in-depth analysis of the issue. The findings will serve as a basis for developing practical policy recommendations for the Central Bank and commercial banks.

This partnership marks another step toward strengthening research-driven policy design and applying innovative behavioral insights in Uzbekistan’s financial sector.

Two weeks ago, Stefanos invited us to beautiful Athens, where we spent a few unforgettable days bonding, laughing, and sharing stories.

From exploring ancient ruins to enjoying Mediterranean cuisine, it was the perfect mix of discovery and connection. We came back inspired, recharged, and even more connected as a team. Already looking forward to the next one!

The post Visiting Riyadh first appeared on Behavia.]]> Last week, the Behavia Saudi team had the pleasure of welcoming dear colleagues Dr. Joana Reis and Dr. Florian Spitzer to Riyadh for a visit. While the primary purpose of the trip was to kick‑off and initiate our new project, we also made the most of the time together outside of work.

In the evenings, we enjoyed several wonderful dinners, giving us the opportunity to explore the city and connect with our colleagues and dear partners in Saudi. These informal moments added a valuable human dimension to our collaboration and strengthened the team spirit.

A particular highlight of the social program was attending the Riyadh Derby – Al Hilal vs. Al Nassr – live in the stadium. What an incredible experience and a great way to dive into Saudi football culture!
